![]() Oh, and I'm gonna wait until the Season is over to stick Tales in. Overall it's a solid, fantastic adventure.įew will disagree with dropping Escape on the bottom, so I don't feel like I should elaborate. ![]() Voice casting is great, and it is quality work too. Puzzle design isn't always perfect, but usually good or great. Still, it gets a lot right, the backgrounds and music are beautiful, and the story does ramp up near the end. It's like I picked up Day of the Tentacle rather than Monkey Island, and that's by no means a compliment. Monkey Island 3 is next, but a definite step or two below the classic originals.with flaws like character animation, not having the right feel fro a Monkey Island game, and an overly cartoon style in many places. From there, the puzzles aren't too bad but also great brain teasers, and the overall sense of adventure and an overall story wows you in such a ludicrous game. From there, you're given a lot of freedom of exploration. You aren't given a long intro movie like Day of the Tentacle, you're dropped straight into the world and told where to go. There's "I want to be a pirate!" and a general pointing towards the right direction. It's not bogged down with exposition at the start. I'd say that Secret of Monkey Island goes next. It has some obscene puzzle design for a LucasArts adventure, but it's nowhere near as bad as a Sierra or Infocom classic. ![]() Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge suffers from very few flaws. ![]()
